GO SPEEDRACER, GO!Jason’s first sleepover!
Well, tonight is Jason's very first real SLEEPOVER party! He is having a birthday party at 5:30 when everyone will arrive and have pizza and then cake and then at 8:05, SpeedRacer starts at the movies and Todd and I will be taking FIVE little boys to see it! LOL I cannot wait! He is going to have a blast! We have snacks galore and fun stuff for the boys to do. The highlight of the night will be the "Disgusting Popcicle Challenge" where each boy will get to design their own popcicle flavor with things like pickle juice, lemon juice, shredded cheese, sour cream, etc. Guess who's the judge??!!! I am. Ick. I have to taste each popcicle and the most disgusting one will win a prize! Today, I am running around like crazy. I have cleaned my entire house top to bottom. I am waiting for one of the boys' parents to come drop off their bag and then I am going to pick up the cake and prizes and go to Jason's school for field day! I will only be at field day for the last hour or so and then I'll bring 2 of his friends home with us. Sarah is staying the night with a friend tonight so that she won't sabotage his party! LOL She'll be around for the pizza and stuff but that's it. I told the boys they can stay up all night if they want. Their moms are coming at noon to get them. I am making pancakes in the morning!
We also got pillowcases and fabric markers so they can all design their own pillowcase. It's going to be a great night! I can't wait!
Last night, Jason made me cry. It was the good tears, though! He came in the living room to tell me goodnight and I told him I'd come in his room in a minute. I went to go in his room and found a note attached to the door that read "Mom, I know how hard you work for all of us and I wanted to do something nice for you. Open my door and you'll see what I mean". I opened the door and found a SPOTLESS room! The bed was even made! What a precious boy! I can't wait to give him a great party tonight. He doesn't know it, but he's getting a cell phone tonight! It's the "Go" phones for kids but they are real cell phones! He is getting a bicycle ON his birthday on the 22nd but we wanted him to have a phone for security while he's riding around the neighborhood. I'll feel better knowing he has it if he needs it and it's pre-paid so we can't get into a cellular minute mess! LOL
Hope you all are having a great day!
Love, Sharon

These next photos are from the little kitten that showed up on our street without a home. Sarah LOVED LOVED LOVED this kitty. She did get in trouble though for taking the kitten inside while we were all in the yard, locking all the doors and not letting us in! The kitten pee-peed in her room and I had to clean up a mess! She looked right at Todd talking to her through the window and told him "no" when he told her to go open the door! All in all, it was pretty funny, though! I thought she was sooooo cute holding this kitten!
